I applied for 33 years before I was finally drawn for this tag! It was late in the afternoon on the third day of my hunt, when I decided to stalk this ram. While stalking him, he crossed a small canyon and was quartering away on the far side. The ground was noisy with decomposing granite, and I wasn't sure I had the time to work around the canyon to get a closer shot, so I took the shot I had practiced regularly (but don't normally take at game) and made a perfect hit. He went less than 15 yards and was down. After 60 days he officially scored 173 2/8.
