Went out to SW Colorado with a Bear Rifle tag, brought the bow incase of last minute elk archery opportunity. After hunting bear for five days, and having better elk encounters, I purchased an over the counter Non-resident Archery Elk license. Last day of hunt in the morning I got between this bull and another bull bugeling back and forth at each other. I cow called this one in, shot him at 40 yards coming at me dead center chest. I called at him right after first shot, knocked another arrow, and shot him again at 55 yards. Both great shots with my 18 year old bow!
