I was hunting a staging area that borders a feeding area. This area is frequented by mostly does at first light, but for some reason this buck was a little late leaving the feeding area and stopped briefly under a white oak I was sitting in to browse a last minute acorn before heading back to the ridge he was using as a bedding area.
