I'd just stepped over the break on a ridge, hoping to glass a stalkable buck on the far side, when I spotted two bucks very close by. They ran out to 40 yards, and this boy stopped, giving me a steep downhill, sharply quartering away shot. I did not see or hear the arrow hit him, but he took off, ran 15 yards, did a somersault, ran another 15 yards, did another somersault, then dropped over the ridge and piled up.
