This was a rifle hunt, but this buck is too terrific to not post. On the last morning of the hunt, I was working the edge of a large sage brush field, that featured very high sage in most places. I spotted a set of horns poking up through the sage 70 yards away. He was facing my way, but was not spooked. After holding on him for a long time, hoping he'd raise his head enough for me to take a shot, he fianlly raised up just enough for me to see the top of his head. I shot and he was done. Even though his inside spread is a bit under 23," this buck scores 193" SCI. He has 15 scoreable points, incredible mass, and great character.
