Though not a huge "trophy" buck, this deer was shot in an area where the deer have outgrown the carrying capacity of their habitat and are doing serious damage to the forest understory. So, in trying to help & do my part, I shot the first deer to give me a shot this season (in this management area). Called him in and shot him at 9 steps from my tree. He was donated to a needy family in our area.
