Rustoleum Never Wet hydrophobic treatment.

I read where someone use this product on their leather/ also fabric/leather hunting boots.

Anyone else tried this?

My best, Paul

Not that one, but I always treat my boots with some sort of waterproofing for leather each year. Makes em last a lot longer. I've used Nixwax mostly. I think it makes boots last twice as long.

Rustoleum NeverWet spray for boots and shoes. Go online and check it out.

I use mink oil paste on my leather. Clean boot, rub in some saddle soap, then a heavy coat of mink oil. Boots are soft and compliant, still breath well, and waterproof. An old trick I learned in the Army back in the 80's.

Not sure how that would be for boots but it looks like the cats azz for a pop-up blind during a spring turkey rain storm....Thanks for the heads up!

While I started this thread without doing much research, I just Googled this product and the reviews are not kind for the most part. Applying to boots and fabrics may not be the best application.

I would suggest one does some research before purchase and use..

Just ordered some mink oil paste and it was about $5.

Used Fiebing's Mink Oil Paste for years. Won't use anything else.

I use Kenetrek Grease on my boots and at 13 bucks for a little container, it's not really worth it. It might help, but the boots still leak. As far as Neverwet, I'very used it on my boat cover. It works alright, but the much less expensive "camp dry" spray seems to work equally well. In sunmary, none of the above completely prevents moisture intrusion.

Obenaufs works great for me!

It depends on the boots. I have mink oil as my old stand by but I keep the neatsfoot oil handy too. If the boots have some fabric a silicone spray works well. I have discovered over the years that boots are like cars and wives. They need frequent care or they will not work as well.

I like high leather boots and use Montana Pitch Blend.

Obenaufs. I've used it on boots that leaked and it helped significantly.

Keep them conditioned with liberal applications of Obenaufs.
