How do rubber boots lined with Neopreme compare to those with Thinsulate as far as warmth is concerned. I know they are much lighter. Is 5mm equal to 400 grams,1200 grams? Thinking of going with Lacross. Any help or thoughts.Thanks.

Neoprene does not breath well so if you sweat in your boots your wet all day unless you take along extra socks. I prefer thinsulate or wool linings as they breath and 99% of the time my feet are dry and warm the only exceptioon is early season in September when its in the 60 to 70 degree range but at least you do not have to worry about cold feet. You see I am cheap and use the same boots all year.

Stay well !!

Im with everyone else--neoprene is for warmer use. It is WAY better than rubber in my opinion, but I wouldn't ever use my Muck Boots where I'd wear pacs.
