I hunted there last year and had a nice hunt. It is not what it used to be due to the high number of rifle hunters hammering the area. There have been a few articles written on hunting Sitkinak. One in American Hunter and one in Traditional Bowhunter Magazine.
Very hard place to hunt weather wise. Be prepared for constant rain and wind and plan several days before and after the hunt for flight delays. Maybe a couple dozen trees on the whole island. There is only one family of permanent residents on the whole place. Great salmon fishing and lots of ptarmigan. Still a fun place to hunt.

I hunted Sitkinak before the smokepoles took over. It is a very fragile place with no where for the deer to hide from long range weapons. It's a small island with no cover higher than your calf.
Second NYB on the weather. It can be brutal. Not for the weak of heart. Beautiful place but if I were to go back I'd probably hunt Kodiak.

The only real advantage to going there is the lack of bears. There are better hunting areas on Kodiak. Would be nice to have it as an archery only area, but that's a tough sell.
weather can be just as bad on Kodiak, but you can get back in the alders for a wind break.
