TALE OF THE TAPE...HE HE
Kelly Harris....43 Years old, Male, 5'11.5", 201 lbs, Ohio. 2nd time elk hunting, with no kills so far. Kelly is working like a mad dog on getting his bench press up to 400lbs, and is hunting mountains in colorado this coming season, that are SMALLER then his whitetail woods HILLS back home. Kelly is a good story teller, and has a good looking wife and child at home he wants to impress badly. Kelly is a past trophy caliber bow shot, as is proven by his many tournement results. His whitewater rafting skills are surely to be put to the test on this hunt.

Andrew Everest MD, ESQ......43 years old , MALE, 6'-0", 200LBS, Illinois. Andrew is a IP lawyer, and holds a degree in physics. He's litterally one of the smartest guys on the planet, and holds degrees from Harvard, and Northwestern Universities, and scored a perfect 36 on his ACT test, a dozen straight times!!!! For fun, Andy likes to ultimate fight, and owns a few construction related businesses when he's not sueing the tobacco comapnies for billions of dollars. Born and raised in upstate New York, Andy is very familular with whacking whitetails, and has done many trips to the mountains of the west, although, never to hunt elk. This will be Andy's first elk fiasco. Andy is a good whitetail bowhunter, a very fast study, and has the ability to decifer information that would make Einstein jelose.

DAN ILKICH AKA SERB........43 years old, MALE, 6'-0", 200lbs Wisconsin. Besides being a pack a day smoker, and professional jokester, Serb owns a few construction related companies. His elk hunting career is only scared by a single trip of no success. Shot a few so to speak, and all were p&y class animals. Serb is loud on the mountain, and can be more annoying to elk then dangerous. Elk have been known to intentionally get within bow range, just to stop the constant bugling in their heads. Serb used to play hockey professionally in his younger days, and has a penchant to want to "drop the gloves" with bears. Serb is a pretty darn good shooter, and has been know to kill elk with his 180 yard pin. He's a true stickler for warm tents, and is a unbelievable eater. serb has more fun stories and information to "share", then the titanic had water inside the hull.

Hunter #4 is still unknown at the time. More info to follow.
I'll give the nod to either Kelly or Andy for the first kill, and it has nothing to do with skill or anything other than the fact that Serb will be a little more likely to hold out for a better animal.

Maybe if we do need a night into town we will have an ex pro-hockey player and 2 guys who like a flat out street style fight scenario.
Maybe we can find a quaint little biker bar LOL or maybe for a celebration of our hunt find one.

One no one knows what pack I am buying and no one knows what my final weight will be.
Like my guess my score on my dink buck I took I am having another contest. The prizes will be some MillerCoors brewing gear and some METROPOLITAN ROOFING GEAR also Yes my roofing company.
So who ever can guess the weight of my pack will get the above gear. And ask TMAC here on bowsite I send a boatload of gear!!!!
Boubound -- you are not allowed to guess 155 lbs/ounces/grams or 15.5 lbs or anything like that!!!!
Sooooooo From now until its time to go or when I have all my gear packed (should be by end of July) start guessing away. This will not include the clothes I wear or my bow and arrows
here are the rules
1.no more than one guess per member
2. you cannot have any combination of weights that come up 155 (LOL BOU')
3. the closest to lbs and ounces will be the winner. Ounces will be measured in tenths!
4 Serb is not allowed to vote or can bowgramps (since they are going)
5. have fun and really think hard you only get one vote!
prizes will be sweatshirts/t-shirts/hats/ and some other fun stuff

This sounds like a fun trip and I enjoy reading the threads. JMHO, You guys need to consider the feasibility/practicality of this for anyone to do, let alone a couple of in-shape "flatlanders"
My bet is that your 14 day backpacking/hunting trip will be cut very short or it will turn into a survival trip no matter what the original weight of your pack is. LOL.

Between me and you I already know how it's gonna end up. After Serb hounds Kelly to drive another 100 feet down the road/trail so he doesn't have to pack in as far they get the truck stuck up on both pumpkins. Serb gets out, walks around said stuck truck, looks farther down the drainage they were driving towards where they are going and says F*&$@ Bleepin that - LOL. I ain't hiking there - LOL. We're campin here!!!
He also keeps referring to this as a couple miles. Like 2-3. Help him out will yeah Pat - LOL. I know, I looked at the map. Heck I wanna go just to watch it all unravel.
Then I am going to put a vhs tape of the greatest hits in hocky and hang that in front of him to get him the rest of the way.
By the way travis....who humped the largest pack beck up the hellhole i shot that bull in??? Forget the part that you went up the hill 3 times though...rotflmao.....you pric%. lol

Anyhow.....I bet i could be taking a dump 20 yards from my bow, and with my luck..nd skill..hehe...a big bull would coming running near me, trip and fall on the bow, and kill itself.

And then there's my secret weapon....."Hey guys (talking to the other hunters in the group), I always see elk at the very tips of those mountains....you just need to climb all thee way up there and camp out for a few days.....your bound to get a booner!!!"
Hope they don't see this. Kelly....look away from the screen.....or God will make your wife leave you for a roofing competitor. One that can only bench 37lbs on a good day!!!!

I will give away some miller gear (hats, t-shirts, sweatshirt, Etc) Just like I did when I had my contest score kellys deer. I had folks score my dink.....
I keep getting great ideas from Serb, Matt, and others.. This contest will start in mid July and end around the 1st week of August

That's about a 4 hour one way trip.
