Because you said plz, I went and got my camera and took a picture of this one on the wall. I'm not sure what you consider tall, but I think the longest one was almost 12".

DJnks, Nice deer, but what really stands out is the taxidermy work. One of the very best I've seen. Realism is amazing. Ear sets and shaping, eye work and detail are phenomenal! Who did the work for you?

boothill...i'm thinking you have 2 different deer there. there is a sticker coming out of the base on the 2nd photo. similar genetics...but i'd vote 2 separate deer. there also seems to be gash in the right ear of the 1st deer. i don't see it on the 2nd. good luck!

boothill if u look at the base of the antlers in the second picture u can make out wut appears to be a tiny sticker coming off, yet in the first pic it appears to not be there, so its a good possibility they are different deer

Do you have any pictures of a mount with or without the hunter?

Arrowhead that is a trememdous deer. Always amazes me how the small bodies on the Texas deer make the horns look so oversized. But there is no denying the size of that one. Just think if you took that same proportion to a Canadian buck. WOW

Here's a photo of his sheds mounted. I was lucky enough to find both sides (about 100 yards apart) so I had a buddy taxidermist of mine mount them on a mature buck cape. This set of sheds grossed right at 169 WITHOUT spread credit. Incredible deer more than likely a once in a lifetime deer for our group.

This is a photo of him the year after the sheds from above. Texas was in a terrible drought (still is) but we were in the last year of a 10 year lease so we decided to harvest him. He wasn't as heavy as the year before but scored a little more (gross) because of overall tine length and main beams. Would liked to have seen him the next year but you never know whether or not you'll ever see them again.

This guy had one long browtine. First ten minutes of the season, never saw him before, but he hit this lush alfalfa like it was his crack! Sweet that my bro was hunting nearby and could make it for the recovery

Full Disclosure: This was a gun kill...but he was only 25 yards away after I stalked through the standing corn to his bed in the waterway...We saw him bed down with a doe from the hard road..thought he was a 10 through the binos...I wasn't even mad when I found out he was only an 8...

SDbowhunter... wow nice buck. Appears the deer you’re hunting aren’t that bright though huh?
I mean no NJ buck even a 1 1/2 year old wouldn’t fall for that post with a branch attached as a scrape..

Sorry I don't have any pictures but I measured one killed west of Kalispell, MT back in the late '70s that had over four feet in brow tines. A basic typical that had four separate brow tines over a foot each. Obviously two had to be counted as N/T but he was still really impressive. The hunter sold him and a few years later I saw the same buck mounted and hanging on a wall in a guys office. It was in an ad for the Texas Trophy Hunters Association Magazine if I remember right. It was a color photo of a guy sitting on the corner of his desk and the mounted head on the wall in the background, if anyone remembers it. Absolutely the same deer. bw

My wife thinks 6 1/2" is pretty super, so here's mine. Eastern Colorado, on the Kansas border. Got lucky after 2.5 weeks and watched him make his morning bed in 2 sections of CRP.
