I like the looks of the Primos neoprene but it seems like it may be difficult to remove in a pinch. The alpine innovations looks promising too. What do you guys use or found you dislike?

My Primos is nice for protecting the cams and strings/cables of my bow as well as carrying. It is however a pain to get off quickly. It's also kind a pain to put back on in the dark.

Best thing I have found is my hands. I've found the carriers get in the way.

Nope, it's Cambow by Alpine Innovations.
Here is their website complete with pics and video of how it works.

Struggling to remove the Primos sling cost me an easy shot at my only chance for a billy goat, so from now on I use the carrier that God gave me: my left hand.

Hands down for hiking and protecting your string, cables and cams, the Primos, but when your in hunt mode, pack away the Primos and use a Blacks Creek Sling.
Velcro holds the female clips on the bow, a the male unclips in a second.

I'm really liking the cambow. Before I had a parallel limb bow I used the primos, but you have to use the shock cord strap to keep parallel limb bows in it. It takes me a lot longer to get the bow out than with the cambow.

I looked a long time until I found the Vista Bow Toter. The bow comes out of it easily and it stays on your body when not in use so you won't lose it.

Cabelas has their own version out that looks pretty good. Looks like an over built Primos. Anyone try it?

I also see Primos has a neoprene version that's similar to the Cabelas. I assume the weight of each would be a negative...
I'm looking for a sling for a sheep hunt in August that will involve lots of horse travel.

I like the "hip hook" when in hunting mode...like a gunslinger, it's about as quick a draw as you can get without holding the bow.
I hook mine to my Tight Spot quiver to keep from wearing out the strings.

I picked up a neoprene Primos at Sportsman's Warehouse tonight. It's much more comfortable than the first model and secures the bow much better. I think it'll work great for my sheep hunt and most other applications I intend to use it for. That said it's not quick or easy to get the bow out of it so I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a sling with quick release and removal capability.

I have a neoprene Cabelas , beat the crap out of it , easy off and protects cams and strings very well , not that easy to get on but pull one end and comes right off. Has held up in some rough country and still in good shape , frayed and worn but still doing the job

Montana Bow Sling has become my favorite. Easy on and easy off the bow. I don't attach it to my pack. (no cam or string coverage)
