I just kill a mountain lion, and will like to see some mounts in order to get an idea in how a complete mount cat could look. could you please put some pictures
I am waiting for "the call" from my outfitter. If I am successful, this is the pose I will get
that is awesome, looks like it's still alive and in need of another arrow
I like that pose too. The shape of the face seems a little off, but the pose itself is cool.
Here's a mount someone posted here last year. This is the pose I may use for my cat. Whoever did this mount is really talented.
Here's a few that are a bit extreme but very interesting guys have done.
I prefer the stalking poses over the relaxing or roaring poses.
I like this because you get focused in on parts if the cat you normally don't pay attention to. Those Eyes just bore a whole in you.
congrats to you. If you are a fan of a more aggressive mount here is my cat. Do your homework on a good taxidermist as cats are hard to do.
here is the facial detail
The photo that Sticksender posted was my original pose selection. I really thought it looked nice until my taxi suggested this pose, which I did choose.
The black background was from a photo shoot for his web page and the other is the actual mount in my room.
Cats are very difficult.
Get in touch with Dennis Razza her on Bowsite, his threads on his work are very impressive.
Good Luck!

The one I like best is about halfway down in this link. Posted by beach tree.
some are very nice mounts!!!!!
Some awesome mounts in this thread....
Hawkeye's you can tell was a stud of a Tom.
The aggressive poses and attacking mode mounts are strange in my opinion.
Other than hissing a bit, most lions never look like that.

^^Wow, that's a sweet pic!
FullCryHounds on here has some fantastic looking-lion mounts in his shop! Dean takes the factory face molds and resculpts them to more accurately match the real thing. Many of the factory molds don't get the area along the top of the nose correct...
Went with a fall scene cause I wanted to use a deer and a velvet buck was all I had .
I should have this angled down more in the front.
Here's one I was working on last week.

Very nice Dennis. Hope to be calling you soon!!!
I beat this lion to death with a stick last week. I'm hoping I can find a taxidermist who can recreate this pose. I'm just glad to have survived the encounter and to have a friend with the composure to snap a picture before the mortal kombat began.
Gerald > LOL.
Dennis > One of the absolute BEST life-sized lions I've seen! You nailed EVERYTHING on that mount ...
Nice mounts I would love to get one of those but the wife hates cats wouldn't be able to sneak one of them in the house. Thanks for sharing.
