Utah goat capture during the hunt..againContributors to this thread:

Good grief. Last year the DWR was capturing goats during or just before peoples once-in-a-lifetime hunt. Based on the additional check box on the application I'm filling out right now...they'll be at it again. Nice.
They did a capture just before mine 2 years ago. I had a nanny tag, yes rifle harvest after day three. The goats were in the cliffs but not very jumpy. Given more time I think a bow could have been done
Welcome to Utah!
That has been that way for like 3-4 years now....
Good luck, Robb

Where are they putting the captured goats? are they starting a new herd?
Probably just getting them out of harms way and releasing them back where captured after hunting season... brilliant!!!
Why wouldn't they do the capture and aerial surveys outside of hunting season? This make no sense.
They had talked about putting Mt. Goats on the La Sal mountains, wonder if they are doing that?
