Multiple antelope mounts on a wall
Just wondering if anyone has multiple antelope mounts in your trophy room. I am going back to New Mexico in August and I am hoping to get another buck. I would like to mount one more if it is a nice buck. Anyone have any wall pedistal mounts?
I have a number of antelope on my wall but they were all done before pedestal forms came out and are popular. I think wall pedestals are great! They seem to give a lot more life to a mount! Mckenzie, Head Quarters, Van Dykes, Jonas, and other taxidermy supply catalogs have a bunch of different wall mount forms and mounts on their websites and catalogs.
One word of advice is to save a lot more shoulder when skinning your buck than you think is necessary. Also tube the front, upper legs so there aren't any seams for your taxidermist to have to sew and try to hide. The hair in that area on an antelope is fairly short!
This was exactly what I was looking for in my request. This gives me some options on how different moubts look like on the wall. I have one now that looks like yours that's second from the left. I really like your far left goat.
Pronghorns sure make a beautiful mount that's forsure!
Here's my three euro mounts together.
Four shoulder mounts and a half-dozen european mounts grace my walls. There's not a prettier animal out there. Not a great photo, but something to look at.
These are all very nice mounts!
That's an awesome looking room. I love that bear rug!
Thanks Alabowman I tried to take pics of just antelpoe last night but my phone was doing crazy stuff so I just sent ones I already had, Im going in may for brea jump in
I've been wanting a bear! I hope to get to go mule deer hunting in October and I hope to get a bear tag while I'm there. My hunting buddies saw have giant bears out there last year. Good luck!
Nice goats guys! I agree with speedboat. Not much prettier big game trophy out there.
No one seems to use a full sneak for pronghorns, but I like the pose, especially if you have more than a few displayed. The 4 on the right are mine. The 3 on the left are my wife's.
Ziek...have to agree about sneak. Something to consider next time for sure.
That's a lot of pronghorns John
bowbender, that is some beautiful taxidermy work. Forrest
Bowbender awesome wall, are they all arizona goat
Thanks guys! I have one from Arizona, one from Utah, and the rest are out of Wyoming.
This was a wall pedastal form, but there wasn't enough hide. But I still like 45 degree angle look.
I also like straight mounts.
Man those wall pedistal mounts look good.
One of mine...Being from CA it can very well be a once in the lifetime type hunt, I've been lucky twice! This was my 2012 Lope!
'Ike' good gawd .... what was the mass measurements on that one ?
My Pronghorn corner! David
