Yes sir! Hunting in Alaska with my Brother sept 10-23 in unit 18 or the draw unit we scored on 21E! Ill let Mr Outfitter decide that for me ,he flys around those areas all year and has a good idea whats stomping around and where ,,doing the outfitted hunt and having never hunted such a beast Im pretty jack up about it,I know my Strothers 58LBS bow and new GT prohunter 400 arrows topped with 100grn Muzzy 4 blades will do the job if I do mine
Unit 18 is any bull,,,Unit 21E the special draw unit is 4 brows or 50" see my dilemma hahaha
MikeC ...best of luck to everyone,, B safe
Me, 70# rpm 360, 340 or 300 spine fmj hope the 340's will tune, exodus swept blade
Ironbound in Newfoundland for me.
Wouldn't it be cool to hear Herdbull chime in, "HELLO BOWSITE" everyday on his hunt! Mike
I'm green with envy..........I want a 2016 hunt but have not worked anything out yet as most of the ones I find are 2 hunters 1 tag kind of deal.
Newfoundland, rifle hunt. October 25 to October 30. I'm psyched....
Good luck fellas!!! DIY Alaska moose was one of my all time greatest trips!
A buddy of mine and I are going to hunt with Ryk Visscher in Alberta the last week of September 2015.

Nick that seems like a pretty sweet tag..
Ill be going out in central Alaska after them late sept
Alaska diy hunt.Fly in and no one to bother me but my partner mulepower. Can't get much better unless 2 giant moose show up and put some icing on the cake.I love bush hunts in ak.Not keen on the little planes after last year, but its part of the deal if you want to go where the big boys live
I'll likely get out some for extended weekend type of trip.
Starting a new job in June and won't have much vacation built up by this bow season (luckily for me so I can save it all up to chase Dall Sheep and Grizzly the following fall).
Not going again till 2016 but I'm looking forward to following along on all of above hunts!
Take plenty of pics on all aspects of your hunt. You will be glad you did later.
Oh yeah....... don't forget to share some of them with the rest of us!!
Good luck to all of you!
I got a good feeling about a moose tag this year. Good luck to all with tags. Hunt
I got a pretty good feeling also Hunt...Good luck!
Mixedbag, Super cubs are about as safe as you can get other than commercial. Now if you are flying a 185 or 206 well they don't slow down enough to crash soft:)
Good luck you will have fun
Better keep an eye on the exhaust manifolds on the 206's too!!
Didn't mind the super cub 2 years ago.Last year I had one heck of a ride on a float plane out of POW.Taking another float plane in this year
Fletching up some arrows.. Im ready
Yep for me. BC DIY.
That means I get to have all the fun, but I have to do all the grunt work to. And nobody to blame, when things don't go as planned either, which usually they don't.
Gotta love a big, fired up bull, smashing his way right to you!!
Ontario,self guided drive-in Mathew Z2 carbon blue 375gr muzzie
What does a diy moose hunt run in Alaska?
Many of us are hunting moose this year and don't know it yet.
Heading back to Scoop lake in northern BC in September for 2nd time, combo hunt so hope to get Moose and Goat
Mathews no cam G5 Striker
Ill have a goat tag as well treeboy... Good luck it would be awesome to stick a goat and moose on a hunt
I will likely again put a lawn chair out on my front porch Sept 1. With a cup of coffee and a book, I'll be keeping an eye on the remaining broccoli plants in my garden. It's a 26 yard shot and I know I can make it.
"I've seen me do it.....!"
Pete
I am also heading up to BC mid September with both a goat and moose tag. Can't wait! Shooting Matthews Creed and Viper Tricks.
Drew Shiras cow in Colorado this year. 3rd moose tag and 2nd cow in Colo since 2005. Will happily fill the freezer with cow moose as many times as Colorado lets me.
Ontario DIY fly-in hunt. 60 lb Bear Custom Kodiak Recurve, Laminate Birch shafts and 1962 Bear Razorheads. Can't wait nothing better than calling in a rutting bull moose.
Rick M.. no Super Cub, or 185 or 206. LOL We'll be in a DeHaviland Beaver. I've flown in the before. They are a tried and tested excellent float plane with a great reputation. Lots of space and we have a 1350 lb limit counting ourselves. Not the fastest ride. But they are loud! Bring some ear plugs mixedbag.
Im dialed in and ready to go.. I hope the next 4 months go by fast.. Hate doing this but I'm good at 50 yards lol
Will be north of Bettles - 4 guys, two planes. Should be great! Caribou and Moose. Shooting 650 gr grizzly sticks. Getting close to dialed in....
Could be any one of several states, al drivable with hundreds of lbs of meat ;) Holding my breath I am.
Mule you said BEAVER! Classic plane and very reliable.
Pete, you drew another "urban" tag?? Congrats!!! Turkey hunting has been better this year in Ohio. DJ took 3 nice birds and my brother in law killed a good one this morning. I have not been out:(
Good luck all
After 31 years of applying I finally drew a Bull tag here in Colorado.
31 years! Rock -that's got to be some kind of record for perseverance, and congratulations! Were you banking points the last few years or was it 3+ decades of "not successful"? Hope you're getting help to make the tag something special.
Got to be a record...31 years?!?
Many people here in Colorado are in the same position as me so it will only be a record for this year only as next year someone will draw after 32 years of applying.
Wow, had no idea that's amazing and congrats on the tag....
standswithaknife, Unit 28
Congrats Rock. I know i will never draw colorado since i just started building points in the last few years.. So this year i stopped buying moose points.. Ill apply in idaho and hope to get lucky
Good unit... congrats on the deserved tag!
jtelarkin08, anyone can draw the tag once they have 3 preference points, statistically the Bonus points you receive after you get your 3 preference points should help but you could not prove that by how long it took me to draw. Every year there are people who draw with 3 points and 0-14 bonus points so it is just a matter of getting lucky.
Leaving September 21rst for Newfoundland with the wife
I am moose hunting in Idaho this fall. What dates are recommended for rut activity?
Last week of Sept first week of Oct.
I drew a moose tag in Wy Area 20, which starts at my pasture fence. I've been bowhunting elk in this area for twenty years, so I'm looking forward to spending the summer scouting. I will be shooting a Bowtech Carbon Knight set at 65#. I use Muzzy 100gr broadheads for elk, not sure if I'll use these for moose.
No moose tag in CO but I am going with Webber's Lodges in 2016.
I have nothing planned but does anyone know if I am too late for New Hampshire? I have done zero research but may start looking into it.
Still 11 feet of snow my buddy lodge Monday in Newfoundland....it was over the gutters on the house. They seen over 30 moose.
The Rock for the sixth time. Hunting buddy fifth time. My guide says there is 2=3 feet of ice in the lake at the lodge.
thanks for the info Ace - I just applied... Will see if I luck out, then do some research... I chose a bunch of units... First time I ever entered a hunting lottery... Bowsite is such a motivational tool...
This bad boy came in today.. Got it all set up and ready..
I'm heading to MVO on Newfoundland Oct 4-11. This will be my first trip out there so I'm really looking forward to it.
