Graham Brigden or Mike Ukrainetz in Alberta .
Scott Limmer, Comanche Wilderness Outfitters, Eastern Plains Colorado
Big Chino in AZ if you're looking for an OTC option. I think they can hunt the early season if you want velvet. I've gone in Dec/Jan. They kill some giants and should have a couple more on their trophy pages if I kept it together better haha
Thanks guys i am not really looking for velvet deer, but not sure timing for the deer to lost their velvet
Tyson Mackin at Mackin Outfitting, Alberta. Awesome guide, awesome country, awesome bucks. I killed my 163" buck with Tyson on September 15 and he was well hard horned by then.
If you don't want to go to Canada, give eastern Colorado some serious research.
We have them in Kansas, but it's hard to draw the permit and I don't know of any reputable outfitters.
Have fun. Please keep us posted.
Can't go wrong with Graham Brigdon. Might try Matt Nelson too, both of Alberta.
Guys are Alberta and Colorado draw states for mule deer?
Colorado is and mule deer usually takes 1 or more points depending on the unit. You may be able to get a landowner tag but that's going to add a few grand to your hunt. I'd suggest CO though. It would be worth the wait.
I am hunting with Camanche Wilderness Outfitters this fall. I was told by the owner and from many references that we will be hunting 170-200" mule deer. I cant wait. I have three points so I will certainly have my tag, but I think you can draw his unit with one point.
Tyson Mackin(Mackin outfitting) x2...great hunt
Is Graham Brigden still outfitting?
njbuck,
I have no doubt you will be hunting 170-200" muleys. CWO has some good properties and eastern CO has been getting some much needed moisture this spring. Unless the rain completely shuts off it should be a good year for horn growth on the plains of CO. Have fun!
Please post a story of your hunt.

How was your hunt with CWO? Any photos or stories to tell?

Hey Leo, We could organize a great Mule Deer hunt for you in several different areas depending on exactly how you would like to do it. We have North America covered for top notch Mule Deer hunts. Plenty of references including this year so if your interested please contact me.
Here is a picture of an Alberta buck one of my clients took this year. For the record We are a Bowsite sponsor!!
Best of luck to you in 2016 and Merry Christmas to you and your family!!
Best regards, Scott Alberda
Have hunted with both Tyson Mackin(twice) and Comanche Wilderness outfitters once (last month) Both are great but very different operations/styles/ personalities Give them a call to make sure they fit what you are looking for. Hope to hunt with both again , they are the real deal.
GlidingIndian... Is correct. Two great operations but two different guys.
In Alberta outfitters own the tags. There is no need for non residents to draw. Pay the outfitter and go hunting.
Contact BSC. You'll thank me later.
Very cool looking deer Tim! Nice!
Some really great outfitters above. Below is my favorite http://www.madoutfitting.com/ Mark has some amazing deer
Awesome Buck Tim! Well done.
Glidingindian,
What are the "different operations/styles/ personalities" ? I haven't hunted with either.
I would be interested in that information too as I'm looking around right now also. Thanks.
Graham is still in operation, his area produces giant mule deer every year.
Graham used to be fairly active on here.
I hunted with Mikes Outfitting in 2006, one of the best hunts I have ever been on. I hope to one day hunt with him again. Many great outfitters here, definitely give Mike a call!!
Another vote for Mike's Outfitting
We're still taking some huge muleys here at Graham Brigden Outfitting. 403-548-0731
"Another 2015 buck. 203"
Wow, I must be bad at guessing measurements from a picture cause I would have guessed that deer at 180. Nice mass. Heck of buck.
Alberta has some great mule deer
Is that a mule deer? The antlers sure look White tailish
Yes it was a mule deer, it has a typical 3X3 frame. The back tine on the left antler (farest right tine in picture) is the G2, next tine to the left is a non typical tine, next to the left is the G3, next to the left is a non typical (main beam splits) and the last one on far left is the main beam.
+1 for Mike's outfitting! Hunted with him in 2015 and would not hesitate to go back!
