Maybe I missed it but how about some parachute rope, do you wear glasses? extra pair if you do, also some anti fog for them. What about coolers for the meat?

Sorry. Phone won't let me edit previous posts. ...

Citric acid and a spray bottle will help preserve your meat.

Maybe a book or battery for your phone in case you get rained in your tent for a day or two.

Did you have a water filter on the list?

don't need citric acid, game bags or bone saw because it is a guided hunt.

Gonna add the extra battery pack for phone..Nalgene bottle and a few water tabs

outfitter or not, hang a 911 card on you...... something happens, those who need to know will have the vital info needed,,,,,,,, from a medical standpoint

Hey razor head what is a 911 card?? Im not allergic to anything so not much to put on the card.. Do i need to put like contact info on it? Outfitter will have that..

I also have trip insurance with like 1,000,000 in rescue coverage. I wonder if i need that info

Looks good for a horseback hunt. May be a bit heavy for a backpack hunt. I would recommend a small piece of high density foam, cut to fit in the backpack. Mine fits in the bottom, so it doesn't take up too much room. It will give you something to shoot at unless the outfitter has a target in camp. It will also save you some arrows. As to the puffy pants, are you going to be in tents or in a cabin? If you are in tents, I would take them. You can always wear them at night for warmth. Otherwise, moose and bison have great hearing and I would not wear them when stalking -particularly in willows.

Mad Trapper,

What wt foam do you recommend? Any particular company for a purchase?

I was getting worried but I finally see you do have your gambling money....so you are good.

Katadyn or some sort of water filtration system and a water bladder for your pack, maybe I missed that you have that already

sometimes i carry an old surplus duffle bag to ship a salted cape (checked baggage)for flight back home if succesfull, being you have two big animals you probally have made some type of arrangements to leave with outfitter for shipment to your taxidermist. Never shipped a moose cape just sheep , caribou, so the moose and Bison may not fit in the Army standard duffle?

No I don't think you missed ANYTHING , you outfitter will probably want it cut down in size . Why don't you check with him?

I think you have about twice as many arrows and broadheads you will need 1 doz is good, also pack some unscented hand lotion, if you are going to be in or around water it dries out your hands real bad and when they crack it hurts like hell,

Small bottle of 100% deet, you should be able to get it at Academy.

I liked having my Delorme In Reach to keep somewhat in touch with home and in case of an emergency.

Another thing you might consider is a small bottle of plumbers glue. Last fall I got a hole in my muck boots and they had some at the camp. Worked well to patch up my boot. May not be applicable for a horseback hunt though, my hunt was a lake hunt.

Puffy pants make my azz look big...

Tripod? Might have missed it... I didn't see a spotter on the list?

Ditch the 2 pair UA, just take the merino undies. I'd only take two and rotate as necessary, rinse, turn inside out, whatever, but that's just me. Speedos for the casino.... if yur feeling lucky.....

If outfitted you likely won't need the wet wipes, they will probably have something. Love em for DIY hunts though. They get two thumbs up from the camp mates....

A dozen shafts and broadheads would be enough I would think? If you aren't getting it done with a dozen I don't see two dozen helping. I think I'd fall on #12 if it came down to that....

Send the list to your outfitter. Ask them what you may be missing and what you can cut out. Tip money likely not one of em.... =D
