Over the years seeing all the mount and harvest threads, let's see some photos of animals passed up. I was tempted by numerous Black Wildebeest, but never dropped the string.

Ain't that the way it goes. Great animals come in after you've already shot one. Great shot angle on the buffalo. Never heard a thread on frontal Buffalo shots. Wonder Why? Maybe the guy that tried the first one isn't around.

Not on my menu this trip, however I would love to hunt Giraffe with a bow someday. These are huge animals. Especially when 15-20 yards away like this photo.

Never been , so can't cotribute, but the 90K rhino would have gagged me too. However, I would have mortgaged the house to drop the string on that buffalo !

Cape buffalo, wildabeast, gemsbok, kudu, warthogs all interest me. Many of the others do not, including cats. I would like to kill a zebra too.

I look at these photos of what hunters pass on. When I come home the common statement from people is ,"Is that all you shot?" My reply is, "Yep, that's all I shot but you would not believe what I saw."
This past trip in 2015, I had 766 animals within 20 yds. I only shot 8 animals. That's 1% of shot opportunities.
The trip before in 2013, I had 1795 animals within 20 yds. I only shot 6 animals. That's .3% of shot opportunities.
Anti's and non hunters think that hunters are raping the game numbers which is totally false. In reality it is the poachers who are destroying the game populations. Our message as being game managers and conservationist sadly gets lost or squelched by the media.

My PH wouldn't give my bow back to me when this guy came in.
I told him that I was only kidding when I told him to take my bow from me if one of these guys came in!

My friend shot a 59" kudu. Several days he spotted a 61" . The reason I know it was 61" is he shot both of them. Hahaha.

The Bull in that photo has to be over 56", It is longer and wider than the one I shot which was just over 54".

And one of my favorites: (I had felt cocky after shooting a female the evening before and I thought that this might come through again. After the fact I was told that to see two mature bulls calmly like this midday was a bit unique and that I would regret it. They were correct on all accounts

Ostrich is one of the best tasting meats I have ever ate. Meat looks like beef, and from what I remember similar texture. If there were ostrich here I would be hard pressed to choose between it and deer as to which I would rather shoot and eat. Ostrich would probably win out. DANNY
