Matt explaining whets and cutters to his new employee Chris.
What a brute!
Nice toothy bugger
He got some big teefies !
Glad I wasnt along for that pack out. Don't think the Porkapalooza puller would do much good.
Boar died south of the ground blind between 3 and 4. BTW, there is a wallow up there I never knew about. Had to quarter the critter out. I have a keen appreciation for anybody hauling a moose or elk out on their back without any pack frame.

Mike,Congrats on an awesome beast of a Hog. Conservative estimate on weight was 550-600#!
It felt a whole lot more as I carried it out. Thanks again for a great hunt. I had to scramble around to find freezer space. Looks like lots of breakfast sausage, pulled pork sandwiches and chops. Gotta lot of eating to do before the Aporkalypse.
NEAssassin wins the big hog contest but I like to think we put in a good second place effort.

Awesome job, Mike! We scheduled a return trip as a family for between Christmas and New Years and the pictures lately have me pretty excited! There sure seems to be some giants getting harvested lately!
Thanks Dave, By then the acorns will be cleaned up, the hogs should be hitting the feeders hard and the foliage will be down to show you where they are bedded up.
Chris is a nice guy.
