From what I have read it is teratoma - a tumor/cancer growth and it wont be attached to the skull so beetles would likely eat most of it.

@Destroyer - Not in this case, or it wouldn't likely have teeth growing out of it, nor a muzzle, I'd expect...
But the skull will reveal all in time....
