Fish of a lifetime!
My son arrowed a fish of a lifetime yesterday! A 48" inch gold bighead. He is pretty pumped.
WoW! That's pretty awesome. Congrats to your son.
That is way cool, congrats to him!!
Nice... congratulations to the young man!
Now that's a fish. Way to go . Hunt
Wow, ugly but pretty at the same time. Congrats.
That's awesome Beav! What river was that out of? It wasn't the Missouri was it? Don't think I've ever seen a gold colored bighead before! Congrats to your boy!
Brotsky it was the Missouri R..
Beav, have you guys ever tried for paddlefish? I've thought a few times about getting a paddlefish archery license and giving it a go!
Cool! That's a hoss!
Find a nice frame to go with it.
Cool! I have never heard of nor seen such a fish. We shoot some big large mouth buffalo in the Missouri up here as well as paddle fish.
Is that a jumping carp? Hate to have that one hit me lol. Beautiful fish, is it going in the wall?
Wow....I hope he's getting mounted
That's really cool. God Bless
Brotsky we go for paddlefish every year with archery. Medicineman yes they are very good eating. They are a plankton feeder. They have very white and firm meat. I am checking into mounting him but it could be extremely expensive so not sure yet.
Wow... looks like it's from another planet... or a cartoon.
Harlin, tell Zach congrats! That is an incredible fish! If you don't mount him I look forward to eating him at the next banquet. :)
What fun! Congratulations to the shooter!
That's a beauty!! Congrats to your son! I'd be pumped too and looking under the couch cushions for the taxidermy money. Great picture.
How cool is that
Good luck, Robb
yes you should mount him he would look great in the family room
Congrats to your son, that's really cool!!
Beav, Congrats to your son! Another vote for getting it mounted!
Wow! Congrats, cool picture as well.
That is way cool! Congrats!
Wow, wild colors on that fish! Did you put a scale on it! Looks like mobie dick!
He's off to the start of a darn good year already!
He weighed just under 42 lbs but wasn't weighed for 24 hours. I shot at the fish at the same time but my son was the lucky one. I think I was happier that he got it. Went through the gill plate on the opposite side. He dove under the boat after an epic fight so we didn't even get another arrow in him. When I felt the arrow I reached down and found his gills and stuck my arm out through his mouth and brought him in the boat. We just all looked at the fish in awe!
Wow, way cool, congrats to your boy...
Don't have bigheads around here (that I'm aware), and curious - Are those gold colored bigheads common, or a rarity? ...Thanks
Zbone, I have been bowfishing them for 20 years and this is the third one I have ever seen.
Beautiful fish and love the muzzy sticker on the boat....classic! Congrats to your son!
Cool Beav, thanks for the info... Added pic to my rare critters files...8^)
