Not all fence climbers are illegals. The Fish and wildlife estimates on bear population is between 25-30 thousand bears and population is growing.

F&W said communites along the 210 get a lot of bear sightings especially on garbage days. The 210 is bear central they said.

I have been scouting alot around Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties and there is bear sign everywhere, tracks, poop and liberal bones (i wish).. Unfortunately the deer are takin a big hit with the drought..

When I lived in CA I saw more bears than deer hunting the lower Sierras. Killed a nice cinnamon phased bear that pushed 450.

SoCal has some jumbos that for sure ... especially around Fillmore ... the ones raiding the Avocado orchards.
