2016 Sheep season is not far away now. Good luck to all those who are planning to chase rams this year! I was extremely fortunate last season to take this old ram. The highlight of my hunting life for sure.

Deeeeep drop on that tank! Great ram, great ram.
Was Van B with when you killed that hog, or just there for the hero shots?
410, I assume?
It scored 188 even according to our 2015 ABA awards booklet and took 1st place.
WOW !!
Congrats
Good luck, Robb
Thanks for congrats. I wrote up a bit of a story for Wild Sheep Foundation so we will see if they publish it.
The Ram is a bit over 40" on the long side and a bit over 16" on the bases. 188 net as mentioned above.
It was a late season archery only draw tag. I knew it would be a good chance but did not expect to get one this big.
Busta'Ribs, VanB was on his way back in to help us out for the rest of the hunt when I got him. He and his empty pack were a welcome sight that day! He was in there quite a bit with me. We put in many days and it was getting uncomfortably close to the end when it all came together.
Awesome ram Chet! Busta'Ribs and Van'fricken'B, two blasts from the past right there!
Van B has this uncanny knack of always seeming to be around huge dead animals. He's like the "where's Waldo" of giant dead stuff. Everytime I see his picture it's with another world class trophy.
Chet, I keep looking at this thread hoping you'll post some more photos/details of your trip and that awesome Ram. What's up with the teaser bro?
Great ram thanks for sharing
Hope you don't mind my 2 cents chet for the curious bowsiters. It was a WMU 408 ram, down to only 5 tags a year now for Alberta resident hunters only for the November rut hunt. This class of sheep doesn't really exist in WMU 410, Canmore, anymore or for that matter in practically anywhere in Alberta. Can't wait to get drawn, about a 10-20% chance if you have top priority, 14 year wait so far.
What an incredible sheep for sure! I would shoot one quite a bit smaller in a heartbeat.
