Fisher in Summer hair.As stated,the tail is too long for a mink.Also the hind legs are too long for a mink.

Was always curious how a non aquatic weasel received the name "fisher"?

Name likely comes from the old French - fitchew

an archaic name for polecat

Many new animals were named with similar names to their European équivalents!

Would have evolved eventually to Fisher.

Looks like a wet fisher after all the rain in MN. Otters can look pretty skanky too but this one is too skinny.
