I was wondering if you might be able to help me out and post pictures of 135" moose. I passed up a moose this evening and I'm unsure if he would make it or not. The area I hunt is low on moose numbers and I do not want to shoot a moose if it doesn't make pope & young. The reason I want it to be pope and young is because a association I'm part of gives you a hand drawn pictures of you and your six pope & young animals once you get six different species in pope & young.

Kyle, My Canada Moose from last year. 48" wide, but narrow paddles and not many points. Ended up shy of 135 by a few inches. Darren

Try that again - put up the wrong picture in my first post!

Thanks Darren, your moose is quite a bit wider than the one I was looking at so I'm happy with my decision. The only thing the moose had that I was looking at is 2 points on each front so his paddle measurement would have been longer but I don't think it would have been enough to get him there.

Is 135" the magic number for Shiras, or something else?
