Just curious my lovely wife is looking for ideas for my upcoming birthday possibly a hunting jacket. This would be used primarily in Tn. on the plateau temps. range from the 20s to the 40s so something I could layer with.Right now its almost 80 so today won't count. We sometimes hunt Mo.Thanks Lewis

Sitka Celsius....

Sitka Stratus or Fanatic. The Celsius is a layering piece best used under another wind stopping piece. The stratus is the lighter of the two and would probably be better for you with a layer underneath. The Fanatic is a better jacket but might be a little too warm.

Lewis, it does not.

For anything from 20 to 40 degrees, a cabelas windstopper fleece works great. It is about 1/6th the price too. God Bless

find some King of the mountain wool or sleeping Indian designs wool,, nothing is better for extreme cold,,,,,,, and you won't look like your part of the fashion show.

Cabelas Wooltimate jacket. It's the ticket for cold weather and won't break the bank.

A cheap cabelas silent weave uninsulated for early seazon.

A core4elmemt element jacket for temp taround 40-50

A wooltimate jacket for late season

All are nice and non are too pricey. Each has a place whereally they exel.
