For you guys who have shot most or all of the hoyt hunting bows of the last 6 years rate them 1. Being the best
Elemen rkt 1st, carbon spyder 30 2nd.
2. Nitrum 30, 3. Carbon Spyder 30 (2014 model), 4. Vector 32 & Spyder 30, 5. Nitrum Turbo.
Didn't know Hoyt had a model called Elite Spirit.
I think the Carbon Defiant 34 or the Carbon Spyder ZT 34. I really like the zero torque roller on the cable guard. Both have shot amazing.
Carbon element 2012 I think. Cause it's the only one I've shot and can afford to own! Lol
hypertec... its been a killer. Can't wait to give my new defiant a go

Carbon Spyder zt 34 long draw. Smooth, steady, solid wall and forgiving. Like the feel of the grip and smooth draw of the z5 cam and a half. With a drop away rest , you can flinch or twitch and drop your wrist and still drive tacks. Simply a very easy bow to shoot.
2017 carbon defiant 34 or 31 for people like me (short arms). Then 2- 2014 carbon spyder 34, 3- 2014 carbon spyder turbo, 4- faktor 34, 5 - carbon matrix. I really liked the z5 cam, but think the dfx cam is smoother. I usually shoot a long ata bow, but I'm liking the carbon defiant 31 best of all. I'm usually alone n this opinion, but I obviously did not like the 2015 bows.
Carbon Defiant 34! Very quiet, shock free, and the DFX cams are very smooth.
I am also partial to the 2012-2013 Carbon matrix RKT. One of the best Hoyts ever made in my opinion. Also the riser is very clean and nice looking!
Cant recall what year I bought it, but I love my Maxxis 35! Carbon Spyder 34 is great as well:) and I still like my Carbon Matrix.
Scar.
Still shooting my Spyder 34
Still shooting Carbon Matrix RKT, but haven't had the $$ to dare test shoot anything newer. Although from several posts, perhaps I'd be happy sticking with it.
(1) Carbon Defiant 34...hands down my first choice! Very steady aiming...like it has a built-in gyro keeping it dead still with very little perceivable movement on target. Seems to be ultra-balanced in my hand at full draw...while using the two-piece, bow-mounted Hoyt quiver with 6 arrows onboard. Shoots like a dream!
(2) Alphamax 35...shot great for me. Outside your 6-year window I know, but it was the last of the three Hoyt bows I've owned during this timeframe. Also very stable platform with great on-target aiming/balance.
(3) 2013 Carbon Matrix 34. Always seemed to be fighting this bow while aiming. Thought it was me...and my aging eyes...but after setting up and shooting the Carbon Defiant 34, it was clearly the bow and perhaps something to do with my form that this particular bow would not tolerate.
Its a toss up between the Carbon Defiant 34 and the Nitrum 34. I love them both for different reasons, but the one thing they have in common is they are extremely forgiving and accurate to shoot. Tough call.
Been shooting Hoyts for 15 years , just ordered a Prime .
Am I the only one? Faktor 34"....., but then again my Momma always told me I was special.

Yes, you are the only one that buys the newest, latest and greatest Hoyt, then takes the (Mojo) Faktor hunting with you. But hey, why screw up a good thing...;). I'll give you $85 for that Faktor. (Cash)
Defiant 34 for me! Been very happy.
Kota, ha ha...funny, funny coyote killer!! I'm trying to find (and buy) two new Faktor 34" as we speak. Kind of like a collector's edition addiction!

Or, you could go order a Halon 32 like I did! I'm not ready to part ways with my Carbon Defiant 34 just yet, but that Halon 32 held and shot so nice, I had to order one to mess around with.
I'm not ready to leave Hoyt, yet...
Am going to shoot the new Hoyt's and the Halon 32....pretty sure I'm going to like them all:)!

Went to Canada to bear hunt and bought a Defiant to back up the Spyder. Both set up with 28.5" draw, 67 lbs and GT 340s. Spyder is a few fps faster, the Defiant is slightly more accurate for me and is my first choice.
Both are aluminum as I mainly stand hunt on farm land so weight is not a big issue.
Alphamax still one of the very best for me Now I am shooting a carbon Spider and it is also good
I'm still on the Alphamax 32. Still shoots great and stays tuned through a lot of abuse. I haven't been inspired to change but I look at the new Hoyts every year.
Still shooting the Alphamax 32, couldn't imagine why I'd spend a grand to replace this fine shooting bow. Hoyt doesn't always get it right, they did this time.
I have been a Hoyt guy for as long as I can remember anything about bows. That will never change in my lifetime, it's just the way it is. I will continue to root for my Chicago Bears too…
Im still shooting a trykon.... Everytime i convince myself to get a new bow(not new, just new to me), i see the price tag and i just feel like that money is best spent elsewhere when the trykon keeps doin exactly what its to do when i do what i need to do. It is, however, very heavy and i have been getting into more and more public ground hunting where i am hiking a mile or so in mountainous type terrain and lighter would be nice. My brother is selling his carbon spyder and i just may buy it if when i shoot it, it feels great.
I like the Faktor 34. A little on the slow side but it shoots well for me.
If I had my choice of the last 6 years it would be a Carbon Spyder 34, 2015 first, then 2014.
Currently partnered with the Nitrum 34" - overall fav is the Vector 34"
I love my Faktor 34 as well. I doubt I will buy another bow for a long time.
2014 Carbon Spyder Turbo with Z5 cam. Have two of them.
Defiant 34 for me. It put a lot of critters on the ground this year. Now I'm going to try the Carbon Defiant 34.
Well........ I'll Go with the Nitrum Turbo. But its the only Hoyt ive ever owned.
Alpha Max 35 Free makes any bow a favorite.
I've been hunting with a 2014 Pro Edge Elite target bow. 36" ata, 7" brace and a shoot-through riser and fast. I've taken whitetails, antelope and African plains game with it and it shoots fixed blade broad heads exceptionally well. My favorite Hoyt hunting bow of all time.
