I've been getting the itch to use my recurve again so after a few weeks of practice to confirm I can do my part I took my widow to the tree. This sow came in early and presented a perfect 8 yard broadside shot, even I can make that one! 125 grain vented VPA assisted with a great blood trail.

I was wondering why the big boars I was seeing on camera disappeared. Went in to look for my arrow today and dog hunters were in the area. Time to find a new spot.

Time for me to get my cameras out. Quite a few heft-mommas you have (had) there. Obviously not one of the cold weather areas.

I couldn't help it Brett! It didn't take long to get my confidence back out to 10 yards.

William, I shot this dry 60 pounder but there are a few big sows around. If they look pregnant they get a pass.

Very Nice! Beautiful Bow, I have always loved those! I haven't shot one in years due to some shoulder issues and some nerve damage in my arm. I have to shoot with a release or nothing at all:(
Congrats,
Scar.

Not the biggest pig I've ever killed but I couldn't help myself! This one is Crock-pot size!

Nice bow and hog congrats! I live close to Black Widow factory and drop in every once in awhile and shoot bows from the wall. They are very nice but i have a Zipper that i bought many years ago when Bob Thompson was still the bowyer its all curly maple and has served me well. So i just cant justify turning loose of a grand or more for another bow.

I hear you rookie. This is my one and only trad bow. I wanted one that would last and one I can hopefully pass to my kids one day. I'm happy so far, purchased mine in 09.
