My mount is TBD. I think I like the majestic look over the snarl. What's your opinion.

I've seen some terrible cats...but this thread has restored my faith in taxidermists haha some AWESOME looking mounts!! I've always planned on sending a cat to Soucy...SS75, your cat confirmed I'm making the right decision! That semi open mouth looks incredible!!

Those are some cool mounts.
I know this may be a real bad idea but has anyone ever seen a mount with a hound in it with a cat bayed up?

Brianhood I get that idea but wow I bet the outcry would be epic!

I'm trying to figure out what form I am going to use for the cat I harvested 9 days ago. I am going to the Harrisburg Outdoor Show this week so maybe I will see one that I like.

At the SCI show, Big Cat Taxidermy had the best cougar mounts hands down. Phil was a close second.

Here's how I did mine. A great option vs a full body if you are a little short on space or money.

mine was close to $4,000 in 2012. that with the floor pedestal though

For $2K I'm fairly certain you'd end up with a lion that looks as bad as many lions do. More like $4-5K is the rate I see for quality work.

Insulting a man's taxidermy is on par with insulting his wife. Let me just say that the more cat mounts I see, the more resolve to do LOTS of research before picking a taxidermist. But the point continues to be moot, since I still haven't gotten one killed!
