I did a boat hunt on Larsen Bay in October 7 or 8 years ago and it was a tough hunt. I believe deer densities are lower than they are on the south end of the island, but the trophy potential can be great! There are a lot of bears up there, we literally saw more bears than deer! If you have the option, take a shotgun, I took a break one day and had a fantastic duck hunt, good luck!

Larsen bay isnt exactly the north end. Hunted just south of there last fall and we saw lots of deer.

I'd call the Bio to find out about deer numbers in any particular area.

I have heard from an informed source the deer herd is healthy and the winter kill should be of little concern in that area. :)

The north eh? Sure would save on transport costs. Bush flights to the S end are pricey.

I would be interested to hear how your hunt goes
