When you are 12 going on 25, it is very important to maintain a look of coolness at all times....he really was very excited.
Thanks for the compliments

That is too cool congrats to you and your son. I am going to Montana for antelope in september.I was wondering is that a PSE bow and what poundage. I just bought a PSE stinger because of my shoulder issues and it can be adjusted in draw and poundage I am assuming for a young archer such as son to be able to adjust as they grow. I am shooting about 50 pounds and hope that will be enough.

huntinelk.....I have a huntin buddy that's 12-going on 55, and that's how he looks in most of his pics too. I just thought he was grumpy that he had to hunt with me ;-)
A big congrats to your son on his first speed goat! I'll bet "dad" was just as excited for him!

yes, Stinger X, 58 pounds, 430 grain arrow weight. He has certainly used the "grow" part of that bow over 2 years. 6" draw length , and 26 pound increase

I scouted 6 days & hunted 8 days in Oregon but couldn't locate a big buck. It was an any weapon unit & the gun hunters were having trouble too. I finally decided to arrow this guy on 2nd to the last day. He was with 4 other bucks & 29 does. 41 yard shot with him quartering towards me. Blood in the photo is from the exit hole. He went down in sight within 200 yards.

Those are some nice goats ! The thing I love best about antelope is 1st, it's just a cool animal to interact with. Just watching them is fun for me. The 2nd thing is the horns. All the same, yet all different. Why didn't I go this year (I keep asking myself) ?
Congrsts to all !

9/21/2017 Joining the party late! My oldest daughter's eighth birthday today. Guess it was gift time for dad as well.
Would love to be able to get it done every year in the first two weeks, but sometimes it takes the rut to bring the good ones out of their hidey holes.

9-24-17. Sealed the deal after 4 years trying in my home state of Kansas. I have had several good opportunities over those 4 years but this year had this guy commit to the decoy and give me a 20 yard shot after stiff legged walking the final 100 yards. This was very rewarding after dealing with brutal rains that began on opening day and would not let up. My 9 year old son was right beside me and was tough as nails on this hunt. (doubledrop)

I threw this in here just to show the difference between the color pattern of the Commantelope that georgemcg used verses the one I used to tag my buck this past week. They must have had different "artists" over the years.
