I guess I should say our first bears. 6 out of the 8 guys in my group were able to harvest their first ever bears. All 8 of us tagged out. I'm not very good at telling stories so this is going to be a more picture heavy thread. We decided to head to Ontario to Pine acres bear camp and had an amazing time up there!! Thanks Chris and Ben for all your hard work getting baits and stands ready for us! Can't wait to come try a wolf/bear combo hunt!

My first day started with the highest of hopes for my first sit! Unfortunately the wind was swirling all over that first night. I heard a bear coming from behind me at one point but the wind at that time was headed straight for that area so nothing materialized.

I was in the stand by roughly 4 on Monday. My bear snuck in around 5. He hung around for about 15 minutes before I finally decided I was going to take him. It was a hard decision because Chris had pictures of a cinnamon bear hitting my bait, but honestly this guy tickled my fancy and I decided I wasn't waiting on a bear that may or may not show up while I'm on stand. I'd love to post the video, but not sure exactly how to do that. I'm going to try to figure it out though.

I was the first to fill my tag so while the rest of the crew continued their hunts I got to enjoy the fishing and some awesome scenery! Apparently I'm horrible at trying to get these photos to post right side up too!

Our fourth day of the hunt proved to be exciting as three guys with me released arrows. Two of which were recovered that evening but one guy shot a really big bear with his long bow and we opted to wait till morning to take up the trail.

Coming into our final day of the hunt we only had one guy still going after a bear. He had passed on quiet a few smaller bears waiting on the right one, and was able to pull it off Friday night.

Forgot to mention, I'm shooting a PSE Full throttle with 100 grain two blade Rage broadheads. My bear was quartering away and didn't make it 15 feet before he piled up.
