Buck was bedded in a dried up pond, grass 6 feet tall in spots, nothing but open prairie surrounding..... a pack of coyotes were pushing him and his buddies around but they weren't worried enough to move out of the tall grass, just would stand up and move spots making me crawl all over trying to get in position. He finally fed out at dusk going straight away from me, no shot...I hurried as fast as i could to get closer but he was too far out, then he must have decided he better come back and check on his two buddies who were still bedded and he back tracked right to me.

Yes in Alberta, grew up in the states but moved to Alberta a few years ago and its like going back in time...It was a draw tag took 6 years to get but I only ran into one other guy out bow hunting or at least he appeared to be, most guys wait till Nov and hunt with rifle during the rut but I was really wanting to get one with my bow..Alot of bucks around, a few real toads that dwarf the one I got but family was in town and he was in a stalkable spot so I figured I better at least try and get him and somehow my first and only stalk of the hunt worked out and I'm happy.... Some one mentioned score, I'm no expert but both horns seem debatable on where the mass measurements need to be. Right side his front fork is either huge or maybe that is a non typical point and his G4 is just that little dinky split.... and I dont even know where to start on the other side... feel free to offer opinions

You can go on the P&Y website if you want and download the measuring for for Mulies.

Congrats on a great Alberta Mulie. Enjoy! C

I'd like to see the pics of the bucks that dwarf that one! Congrats on a great buck!

That would suck having to wait that long to draw a tag when you live there.
