Ready for the day Orion brothers and sisters. Hunting public land where I see deer every sit, just not close enough for a recurve shot. Will post pictures later. Wind from North, ground is wet, temperature around 60F. I am 21 feet up the tree and plan some ground hunting later after 9:30 am.

Quiet this morning. Droplets come down from the trees and slight N breeze moves around the smell of wet dirt. The big moon will be setting in 10 minutes closing another cycle. The Sun is awaiting behind a hill his turn to rule the sky. The turkeys just flew down from the roost. It is so peaceful.

I just had one deer at 70 yards moving towards my friends stand. No shot.

There is no deer in North Haven. They all went to a deer convention in the South CT after the russians posted fake news on all deer hunting forums.

nah ... I just fell asleep, lol. I left the forest around 2 pm after chasing on foot 2 turkeys and a buck. No shots were presented. Turkeys kept a safe 75 yards distance at all time and the buck bolted on me at 38 yards. It was lots of fun.
