Thank you all for the kind words. Certainly not a big buck by Iowa standards, but my largest archery kill to date. It was so cool the way it unfolded. He seemed to be oblivious to everything around him (or just didn’t care) and was on a mission.
15 yard shot slight quartering to me. Ended up taking 1 lung and liver. Left him for 2.5 hours and he went about 200 yards. Going to send in a tooth to be aged as we think he is pretty old and on the downhill side.
9pt, 18” inside spread, 126” gross.
