Ok first live hunt, maybe it change my luck alittle. Sitting on an oak ridge overlooking a swampy funnel. Warmer than expected this AM, but dropping. Wind as advertised. Couple resident does in this spot and at least one buck that to date has hung back in the thick swamp and not come out until dark.

Done for the morning, almost had a branch drop on my head. Hopefully the wind dies out a little this afternoon.

Back at it this afternoon. Set up on the ground about 100 yards from this mornings stand. Followed the funnel out to som fresh sign, closer to where I believe some resident does are bedding. Found a nice shaggy hemlock and am comfortably nestled in with 3/4 shooting lanes. If it happens, it’sgoing to happen quick and close.
