Last day in the state forest until dec. 20th. 18ft up a little damp. 2 Scrapes were opened up in the last 12 hours. Saw a doe a large bodied buck here yesterday. Looking to make it happen before I hunt in MA with my father for 4 days. Goodluck if your out.

Im frozen.. weather channel for the win...raun and snowed for 2 hours. Getting down at 11 to relocate. Then lunch and back at it.

Well jumped this 8pt on my way out. He was interested in the grunt enough to turn and look. But would not come back out of the swamps edge. I hung there for 10min and so did he. Heading back in a few min.

Nothing. Tree rats all over. Headed to MA for 4 days. Need another to fill the freezer.

After five hours in the tree the usual happened, six deer scoot by at 80 yards just outside of the neighboring property 40 minutes before dusk. At least I am seeing deer again this year but I think today's weather was a factor with the swirling winds.
