Although I bow hunt whitetails here in Indiana every year I have not taken a deer with by longbow since 2008. One buck rule and trail camera pictures of bigger deer always had me passing opportunities. Until last week. This 10 point came by working a scrape line and at 15 yards I decided it was time to end the drought.

Photos are selfies the old way, set my camera on my pack, trigger the timer and hurry into the frame. Here is a trail camera picture of the same buck working the scrape in front of my stand a few days earlier. For some reason I also find it rewarding to take a deer on the land where I live.
