2017 was a year I will not soon forget. I hunted in 5 states and made a lifetimes worth of memories. It started in January for coues and just kept on going. Won’t go into details too much I’ll just add pics...

Took my biggest coues to date this past January. In my opinion hardest most spooky deer there is to hunt period!

Joey C's all Sorts of Bux and Stuffs in 2017! Congrats man, way to go and excellent pictures! Good luck in 2018!

Went on a mid April pig hunt and shot a hog that ran into a pond and died. Was sort of funny. Did it drown or did the arrow kill it. Who knows

Few days later I had made friends with some locals and they invited me to hunt some deer on a private ranch. First evening luck would have me stalk into 60 yards and arrow this guy. Found him the next morning piled up!! So much fun

Made it back to the elk woods later on and punched my second elk tag!! Always wanted to kill 2 elk in September and finally had achieved my goal!!

This was the arrow from my buck tag. Grunted him to 13 yards and double lunged em. I haven’t shaken that bad after arrowing an animal in years. Don’t know if it was the cold or a combo but man what a rush!

Certainly not a giant. But the hunt itself was so cool and to call a deer to my tree for the first time there was no way he wasn’t getting an arrow!!

After that the season winded down and all that was left was fall turkeys. Here is a pic from one of my hunts this fall. Yes you can decoy birds in with good deeks. DSD baby!!

My last tag for 2017 was this hen. One of the things I take pride in is making the most of my opportunities in the field. This season worked out awesome as every animal (except one spring turkey) that I drew back on came home with me. Certainly counting my blessings as this whole entire year has been nothing short of awesome for me. Not just in the woods but all aspects of life. Thanks to everyone for checking this out and I hope everyone had a good season as well. Happy holidays to y’all.

Joe, that picture of you sliding down to see your whitetail reminds me of a day I spent with Troy a few years ago. I managed to break my leg with my own rear end in a ravine nearby. Troy didn't carry me out but he did find me a nice stick to use as a crutch. I still have the stick sitting in a corner beneath some deer heads.

Congrats on a terrific season and thank you for sharing. Your photos are truly impressive! Jeff

I don’t know how I missed this! I was keeping up with Joe’s hunts during the year and knew he was coming to Iowa in November. He kept sending me pics of all of the stuff he was shooting through the year. I was getting a bit concerned that he might develop tendinitis or rotator cuff issues before he made it here, with all that shooting!

We had an absolute blast when Joe and Chris got here, and they closed the deal, when the opportunities were there! I’m not so sure about being great photographers, though. All the pics you guys took, and you never once got my “good” side!

Congrats on an incredible season, Joe! Looking forward to sharing in another hunt or to with ya as well, buddy!
