Fast Eddie

I am looking at buying the Spotthogg fast Eddie single pin sight it is two years old! My question is has anyone had problems with the gears being exposed? I am worried about dirt etc. getting in there on a hunt!

Been shooting the fast eddie double pin for a year now. I love it best sight I have owned. No issues yet with the exposed gears, but I am very careful with my equipment.

I ran ice and snow through my gears after a nasty stalk. Didn't need to adjust it on the deer but after it went down, I tried it and it worked fine.
