Can i plant clover in the fall and it come back the next year if i plant cow peas in the same plot the following spring?

I see you're from La. The short answer is no, but with an explanation. In the South, you're not gonna get much from a clover plot until next year. Down here, clover spends the first part of its life putting down roots so it can survive the summer heat. Planted in the fall, it will really come on strong next spring if you've planted it right. Put your cowpeas somewhere else if you have the room. If not, I'd choose the clover. Deer love it and it's very browse tolerant.
