Wyo refund question

As it reads in the Wyoming fish and game website. It states that tags purchased using a credit card will have the money refunded directly to the card if unsuccessful.. On the other hand I have heard a few people say that even when purchasing the tag with a credit card they received a check in the mail for a refund. Just wondering which one it is?

I wish it was checks still, that way you can bank air miles. When they refund the card you get nothing.

G&F went to refunding the CC directly last year and did away with sending checks. That also closed the back door approach to see if you had drawn a tag before the results were posted with guys looking on the WY.gov website to see if they had a refund check coming or not.

Since I paid for our app's with the possibly compromised card and now have a new one I called WY to see what would happen. They said if I have the same company it will be sent to my new card and if that doesn't happen they will send me a warrant if we are unsuccessful.

It used to be a check, but they changed it before last season.
