I love running cams after the season. Here's a few that made it on a place I hunt. The 9 will be a dandy this year. Anyone else have any to share?

Not sure what happened to this guy or if he will make it thru the whole winter or what happened to this doe. Coyote attack or shot? And a group of guys happy to be safe.

Wow, that’s a crazy looking wound, Jason! Is it possibly some kind of abscess instead of a wound?

Could be. I have never seen anything like that one on the leg before like that. I almost thought it was photo shopped on the second photo till I see the first photo but know I haven't touched my cameras since Nov 23rd and just pulled them last week.

Here's one that doesn't look so good. Here is the 9 from the first post I posted. Thinking that maybe a coyote attacked him and bit a chunk out of his hindquarters? Then 31 minutes comes back with out the one side he was still carrying when he went to the east and can really see the chunk of meat hanging and how he is holding his tail. Next time I make it out to the farm I will be looking all over the east end of the trees for that side he went over there with and shed. Do you think he has a chance of surviving with that chunk of meat hanging out his back side? Hopefully he will show up again next year but if not I will know why.

Had him at 10 yards opening morning of archery.... in the dark. His sheds have been found, busted brows on both sides and cleanly broken off G5 on left, and kicker on right G3, still tapes 179.

sdbowhunter, looks like you need to do some serious predator control. Two deer with chunks chewed out of them is crazy.

I passed this buck opening morning and a buddy passed him later in the season. He was off limits this year as he looks to have great potential. Looks to be around 130" I'm guessing 3.5 year old. I'm not one to name bucks but I started calling him Lucky recently. He made it through the season, hoping he makes it through the winter too!

Embry, crazy thing... a buddy of mine who didn't even know the deer existed walked right up to them mid week when I was at work. We figured they dropped around/ during a snow storm, buried under over a foot of snow, side by side in a winter wheat field. A few days after the storm, the snow had settled and coupled with high wind they were finally exposed. I was happy someone I knew found them, but sad as well since it was 'the set' i wanted to find this spring! Hopefully I can hunt him next year.

Hunted this deer hard this year and never saw him on the hoof. I had three shot opportunities last year and passed. Found one shed in January (left side). Based on the tape of his left side and knowing his right is bigger, he was mid 170's this year as a 5yo.

GotBowAz I have had zero success calling this winter the four times I have been out. I ran snares for a week in October and four weeks in November when out at the farm and never got one either. I know they are there just not having any luck this year getting any. They will come out to play when I'm not around. I live 3.5 hours away from our family farm so dont get out to do it as often as I would like to.
