I personally have not heard anything of their trad arrows, but my buddy knows a chick on their staff who quit hunting with their arrows due to breakage.

You're talking about the Instinct, or the Vintage? Black Eagle makes decent arrows, nothing really stands out about them. I've shot them off and on since 2013, and have no real issues with them. Some are a lil brittle, break kinda easy. But for the price, they really can't be beat... The Instincts use an outsert, while the Vintage uses a standard insert, I got tired of using outsets on my micro diameter shafts, and went with shafts that use the half out inserts from Firenock. If I was wanting a wood grained arrow, I'd also look into the Timberwolf arrows from Bloodsport.

I'm shooting the 500 Vintage out of my A&H. Shoot fine course, I'm not trying to split hairs.

I've only have experience with their trad arrows. First time trying black eagle. The arrows are top notch! love them!
