What’s the odds that this guy is the only hunter to take two bears bigger than 22”
22 7/16. 22 9/16
I see Bondo on one of the skulls. Also, he's holding them out in front to make them look bigger. I don't believe it unless he can provide x-rays!
Actually his last name is Rompola
Adding.. He obviously poached them because I've never killed one that big.
Seriously Jaq, you sure seem positive that Rompalas buck is legit.
You apparently have a lot more faith in humans than I do. I salute you for that.

Are we totally sure those aren't skulls of predator monsters?....
The ear canal on the left one is definitely droopy!!
Ambush... you are correct

From original photo, it appears that the mystery hunter has grown a lot of hair suddenly and it has obscured his face...
And the beat goes on ....
When I hit my sixties, it wasn’t so much my ears that got droopy. It was more my..... err... uhh.... not my ears :(

Congratulations on a couple of great bears!
Pete... it’s a guy here in NJ that I don’t really know so I wanted to give him some anonymity...either way two amazing bears eh?
Kodiak, I never said the Rompola buck is "legit". But I do believe a buck with those antlers was killed. Too many people saw it and held it, including his son, two verified scorers, and the game warden, for THAT part of the story to be a hoax.
Is that Rowdy Dowdy with the bear skulls, if anyone's killed two like that, he has! Looks like he's lost some weight though...I hope he's ok
FYI ... this is legit... the guy is a NJ hunter
The odds depend on where he hunts and how much he hunts and how selective he is.
Is there no thread now that’s Rompola debate free? Damn!

Knowing what I know about bear skulls from being an outfitter and a taxidermist, they look legit to me. The wear on the canines, the width of the sheek bone, the high blade or spur at the back of the skull plus the size of the guy's hand compared to the skulls, whether he holds it out like a fish or not say to me, big skulls. I have a 22 8/16 I shot while guiding caribou hunts that looks identicle.
