Kodiak, I never said the Rompola buck is "legit". But I do believe a buck with those antlers was killed. Too many people saw it and held it, including his son, two verified scorers, and the game warden, for THAT part of the story to be a hoax.

Knowing what I know about bear skulls from being an outfitter and a taxidermist, they look legit to me. The wear on the canines, the width of the sheek bone, the high blade or spur at the back of the skull plus the size of the guy's hand compared to the skulls, whether he holds it out like a fish or not say to me, big skulls. I have a 22 8/16 I shot while guiding caribou hunts that looks identicle.
