Looked out this morning to see if my horses were around and found some trespassers stealing their water. They stood there checking things out then they started jumping over, about 20 cows in all. Always good to see some Wapiti.

Yes New Mexico. The horses were close by. I always check on them to make sure they are drinking plenty of water.

Saddle up one of the elk and forget about the horses.

That one elk looks like it has mange - almost no hair on it's neck??

Looks like the horses went to where there was something to eat. :)

That water is in an area that my grandkids took a tractor and a drag to it so they could set up some barrels and practice their barrel racing . The horses were in another pasture eating up a big round bale . I didn’t notice that one elk being sorry looking until I posted up the pic .
