North Dakota Deer Herd

Are there any North Dakota Natives that can keep me apprised of the state of the Whitetail deer herd in the area? I have a small place in North Central North Dakota by Bantry, that I haven't been to in a couple of years, since that last heavy winter kill..Looking at coming out in Early September to give it a go again.
