anyone hunt s38 in the last few years?

I was wondering if anyone is aware of the condition of the sheep herd in s38. I’ve heard mixed reviews. Was there a die off 10 years ago? Have they recovered? Healthy numbers?

Something happened to the herd a few years ago. Biologist said there was a fire and the sheep kind of just disappeared and don’t know what happen.
I would also suspect that mountain lions have been hammering them down there.
