Any one have any idea why Arizona is not sending out our tags? I have been checking that I really did draw a tag it says my tag number is 000003 and my Buddys is 000004 but nothing has came in the mail.
No, but we are in the same boat here......
On another forum someone said they are not mailing out till April 20th. No idea why it takes them so long?
The hunt is 6 months away. Tag won't do you any good today.
sometimes it feels good just to look at it I have had my 2018 montana elk tag for 2 months
That's not paranoia. Some folks just take elk hunting more seriously than others.
Here is another way to look at it I paid for it over a month ago they got the money get my tag in the mail
The way I look at it, it's the same deal with the draw results taking so long to come out after the application period ends. They're government agencies and no one's holding their feet to the fire.
I can understand that back when these were all done on paper and had to be entered, that it'd take time. But this should all be computer automated now. The application, the draw, the credit card hits, and then you hit print and bam, tags with addresses are printed. How long's it take to stuff a bunch of envelopes? Certainly not a month.
I'm pretty sure they cancelled the hunt this year due to lack of interest.
Iv'e spent about 2 hours so far this week talking to their draw coordinator and IT Specialist about various things and the conversations have been very enlightening when they get to talking about the problems they have. Its a lot more involved than just pushing a button when the system is outdated.
I'm with Bigdan. It just don't feel real untill I get the tag in my hand. Ive been waiting anxiously.
I thought for sure it would be here by now.
I was #00013 tag .

You are all very fortunate to have such minor “troubles”.
Was thinking he same thing today and was going to ask this very question.
Maybe Sheriff Joe has to put guys out on the highway picking up cans to pay for the postage
Bigdan, I hope that they are still wearing pink and eating bologna sandwiches.
Looking to add a the Hunter Ed bonus point but have a question if someone could please answer. Looking on the AZGFD website you can take and online course but then need to take a Field Day Class. Looking at the class schedule it comes up with a few options that seem correct. One is Bonus Point Field Day and the other is Hunter Education Online Field Day.
What is the difference between the two or which one do I take to complete my requirement for the bonus point?
Hey Bigdan, My portal account says I drew elk tag 000003 also. So I guess they have a different series of numbers for each unit or we may be sharing a tag. Hope this is not the reason we haven't got our tags yet.
Brijake, I believe either would suffice. It should be the same field day course. You could register and confirm with the instructor .
While they may have technical difficulties, they shouldn't. Not in 2018. This should be as simple as pushing a button.
I drew unit 8. I have a lot of homework to do. I've never hunted there. Already got a unit map and drove over to scout the unit for a couple of days last month while I was down at Lake Havasu in Az. I was just getting a lay of the land, but did see about 60 elk and 2 dozen prongys while I was there.
Tag arrived in the mail today 4/11/18.
I was thinking the same thoughts on Utah. Tag numbers where announced awhile back but we are still a ways out for the draw.
The AZ tag is worth the wait for sure
Nothing in the mail today in Montana
The Mrs. got her tag today. In AZ so probably quicker.

Dan,
No more Sheriff Joe... He was constantly under assault from the liberals, and I think the voters just finally got tired of paying millions and millions of dollars for his defense costs. He was eventually found guilty of discriminating against illegals. Trump pardoned him shortly after his conviction. The person elected to take his place tore down Tent City and isn't nearly as hard on offenders as was Joe.
To bad Marvin I think if he was still there I mite have got my tag in the mail by now nothing in my mail today from AZ
Got my antelope tag today.
Got my tags yesterday. New , Big, jumbo sized ones!
Well it Friday No tags in Mail Jumbo or reg size
That will give you extra time to find a pen that will actually write on the new plastic feeling tags, to sign your name. I've heard that a sharpie will work.
Got tags today! They sure did turn into a big billboard!
Got my tag in TX today. Unit 10 archery elk is starting to get real. Still can’t believe I drew the tag.
Got mine in Montana little big for a wallet
Still no joy in Norcal. Pony Express is a little slow getting up the mountain.
Here is my 2018 elk tags az does have a bigger tag must be for bigger elk
It is huge compared to years past for elk.
I never remember a tag with so many 'Ad's' on it! haha
Sweet reading------

I'm sure glad I spent the extra $5 for point guard this year. I screwed up and applied for antlerless elk (mzzldr). Burned 6 points on the tag. Glad I can turn the tag back in, or donate it, and get my points back.
Camp can be trailers (from full-size 5th-wheels to pop-ups), to tents, or even motel accommodations if needed ..

Larry was shot 3 times in the service almost 30 years ago, hadn't picked up a firearm since then. He put 225 lbs of HEALTHY meat in the freezer and felt tall again!
